Agile2021: Better Together

Agile2021 Conference

In this podcast, Howard Sublett and I chat about how Agile Alliance and Scrum Alliance are working together this year to create a one-of-a-kind experience for the Agile community. Moving Agile2021 online has opened up opportunities for making our annual conference more accessible in ways that were simply not possible before, and we’re both excited about what’s coming together.

Partnering During Tough Times

Last year, when we were discussing what to do about the events each of our organizations had planned for Denver in 2021, we agreed that we didn’t want to make anyone choose between global Agile events given pandemic-strained energy levels and training budgets — it’s been a tough year for everyone! So Agile Alliance and Scrum Alliance looked for ways to work together to make Agile2021 a really exceptional event for Agile practitioners around the globe.

As part of this collaboration, the Agile2021 program will feature two Scrum Alliance Coaching Retreats  included in your Agile2021 pass. These Coaching Retreats will be open to all attendees who are looking to improve their coaching practices; the only prerequisite is your Agile2021 registration.

Catering to a Worldwide Audience

To support a global audience, Agile2021 will offer a follow-the-sun programme format with conference blocks beginning at noon Hong Kong Time, noon Central European Time, and noon Central Daylight Time each day, so that attendees everywhere will have the opportunity to join in during their daylight hours. While some events will be live-only, much of the content will be available to replay on your schedule so that you don’t have to stay up through the night to catch something you want to see that’s happening in another time block. And as most sessions will be available on demand, you won’t need to worry about having to choose between two equally appealing sessions as you can watch the recording at your convenience!
