Thanks for your feedback

Late last year we asked our individual and corporate members for some feedback on their Agile Alliance membership.

We received a lot of great information, and also remembered one of the downsides of relying solely on surveys for feedback.

What You Said

Many of you joined so that you could get discount for conferences such as XP2018, deliver:Agile2018, or Agile2018. That’s great — one of the best ways to be part of the community is to meet other members of the community face to face.

Several joined to gain access to the videos we post after the events, so even if you can be there in person, you can find out what members of the community shared there. Along with that, the resources such as experience reports, and our Agile Glossary were mentioned as helpful resources.

Some people joined to support Agile Alliance (Thanks!) and be part of the community. The community group and training and event listings were particularly helpful for these folks. Most people who mentioned community seemed to favor face to face interaction at a local level more so than virtual interactions.

There were also plenty of opportunities for improvement mentioned in your feedback. From providing even better membership support to helping you find the resources you need, to getting material you submit posted in a timely manner there are changes we can make.

Some feedback is good. Even more is better.

Whenever you seek feedback, you want to make sure it’s actionable so that you can make use of the information.

Some of your feedback helped point to clear actions. We’ll continue to collect and draw attention to the resources we curate through events and the community in general. There are some cases, however, where we need a bit more information.

Reaching out to members via a survey was a good first step, but we handicapped ourselves by not providing a means to dig deeper on those areas where we need to know more. In order to rectify that, I’d like to invite anyone who is interested in talking in a bit more depth about your experience with Agile Alliance membership and the Agile Alliance site to let me know.

I’d like to know more about what parts of the site provide you value and which ones not so much. I’d like to hear if you’re able to find the things you’re looking for, if you run into difficulty finding things.

If you originally filled out the survey, or even if you didn’t I’d like to hear from you.
