First of all, this topic is not geared toward a specific technology or methodology, but rather an ideology in regards to how development teams can be lead in a more productive manner through servant leadership. A couple of my biggest passions are software development and golfing. Over the past eight years I have moved into the space of software leadership (as a Dev Manager and in my current position of Director of Software Dev), and I have seen many parallel concepts on how to effectively lead in the space of software development and from my hobby of golf caddy work. The point of my talk would be to point out some of the similar aspects of both serving my development team members and looping for my player. The goal of the talk is to show how leadership can be turned towards the focus of results from the teams and team members by helping to facilitate their success.
