The proposal has received an overwhelming endorsement by the members, reports Linda Cook, Agile Alliance Secretary.

The changes allow for the board to be reduced in size from 12 to 9 by 2014.  Additionally, board terms migrate to three years rather than two.  The intent of these changes is to limit churn on the board and provide greater conveyance of knowledge.

Also, to ensure the that the goals of diversity (geographical, gender, job role, life experience) are met, a slate of candidates will be proposed each year rather than individual candidates.  Each year the membership will be asked to approve a slate.
