Global Agile Conference in Orlando, Florida is the Industry’s Premier Event for Agile Practitioners

PORTLAND, Ore., April 8, 2020 — Today Agile Alliance is pleased to announce the program for AGILE2020, the largest annual international gathering of Agilists. In its nineteenth year, the conference is the premier global event for the advancement of Agile practices. It attracts Agile practitioners, business, vendor-partner community members, and academia from around the world.

This highly-anticipated event will feature keynotes by Klaus Leopold (Managing Partner, LEANability GmbH), Sasha Ariel Alston (STEM activist and author of “Sasha Savvy Loves to Code”), Semira Allen (DevSecOps Engineering Intern, Deloitte Chicago), and Lara Hogan (Co-Founder, Wherewithall).

“I am so pleased to announce the exciting lineup for AGILE2020,” said conference chair Emma Armstrong. “We were fortunate to receive nearly 1900 engaging submissions. The team worked tirelessly narrowing them down to identify the final thought-provoking 293 sessions across 22 tracks on a variety of topics for people at all levels of Agile expertise. We cannot wait to experience all the reactions, conversations, collaboration, and transformation that will occur as a result of this great program, the speakers, and attendees.”

AGILE2020 offers an unparalleled opportunity to learn cutting-edge skills and techniques that can be immediately put to work and improve success. It is a unique way to participate in the global advancement of Agile. The acclaimed program will deepen attendees’ knowledge of Agile, generate transformative ideas, and advance the use of cutting-edge Agile practices from the team to enterprise level. The staggering number of engaging sessions and conversations will encourage and motivate you to improve the software development ecosystem.

At the heart of each Agile Conference is connecting and sharing. Attendees will explore the ever-growing toolbox that makes Agile effective by experiencing the stories of hundreds of speakers representing distinct voices and perspectives.

There is no substitute for face-to-face contact, and the conference is designed to enhance networking opportunities between attendees, speakers, and sponsors. The relationships made, support received, and knowledge gained provide an enriching and long-lasting experience that fosters both individual success and the collective advancement of the industry. The conferences are open, engaging events that foster innovative ideas based on real-world Agile implementations.

Last year the conference drew nearly 2,400 Agilists from 54 countries who learned from and collaborated with recognized Agile experts, authors, and innovators. AGILE2020, to be held July 20 – 24 in Orlando, Florida, is expected to draw even more attendees.

If you’ve never attended our annual gathering, you’ll be surprised at the openness, collaboration, and sheer generosity of ideas practiced and embraced at this unique event.

Agile Alliance wants attendees to be comfortable with their decision to attend the conference. We are in unprecedented times and cannot currently anticipate how things will be in July. We also appreciate that because of the current situation the prospect and circumstances enabling people to attend Agile2020 may have changed. We are closely monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and will make decisions with safety in mind. At this time, the conference is scheduled to go on as planned. We advise everyone to ensure that air and hotel reservations are fully refundable.
