Abstract/Description

Performance Appraisals. We all have them. We mostly hate or fear them.

In this session Karen Greaves shares her experience of both giving and receiving performance appraisals in a number of different organisations. She talks about what has worked and what hasn’t. She shares some industry stats that show my experience is not unique.

Then Karen shares what happened when she finally had a boss who agreed to let her experiment and do it her way.

Karen describes:

  • How to do performance appraisals without giving anyone a score.
  • How to use this to manage high performing and under performing staff.
  • How to figured out salary increases without a score.
  • How to keep HR happy with the process.
  • How people felt about the process.

After you view the video, you’ll have a new way to do performance reviews that work well for agile.
