Nurturing Agile organizational success through Caring Leadership

Heather Younger Agile2024 Keynote

Caring Leadership® is the cornerstone of Agile organizational success, fostering a culture of empathy, collaboration, and innovation. In today’s fast-paced business landscape, you, as Agile leaders, should prioritize caring leadership to inspire your teams and drive sustainable growth and resilience.

The power of Caring Leadership

Caring Leadership is showing concern and kindness toward those who look to us for guidance in some way. This is the obligation of everyone, despite your title.

By fostering a culture of psychological safety, caring leaders empower their teams to take risks, experiment, and learn from failures.

During my session at Agile2024, I will outline a framework for sustainable Caring Leadership and share the behaviors that will differentiate your leadership style and your organizational culture.

Those who want to get the most out of their time with me will be open to interacting from their seats, from the stage, and with one another. We will have as much fun and learning as you want to have. Below is a peek into what I will share with attendees.

Lean into self-leadership

During my keynote, I will start with self-leadership and what it means in the context of being a caring leader with an Agile practice. Learning that Caring Leadership is impossible without first learning how to lead yourself will be the beginning of our journey together.

I will share strategies and ask the audience to share too.

Empowering and developing talent

Caring leaders invest in the growth and development of their employees, providing mentorship, feedback, and opportunities for learning. By empowering employees to take ownership of their work and pursue their passions, you will be able to foster a culture of continuous learning and personal growth. This culture will ensure that you differentiate your team and achieve your most important initiatives.

Learning to actively listen

I will be teaching my proprietary 5-step framework, The Cycle of Active Listening™, to audience members. Without this new way of listening, you are more than likely leaving your stakeholders unseen and unheard. You show you care at work when you take the time to actively listen to people who are sharing their needs with you and who are expecting you to do something about what you hear.

We will participate an interaction that will highlight the need to become superpowered active listeners.

Leading with resilience and adaptability

In today’s ever-evolving and high-productivity workplaces, Agility is essential for organizational success, and caring leaders embrace change with resilience and adaptability. By staying grounded in their values and leading with authenticity and congruency, caring leaders inspire confidence and navigate challenges with grace and agility.

I will share some powerful strategies to help everyone build resilience and see the strength in being known as adaptable.

Conclusion

Caring Leadership is the cornerstone of Agile organizational success, fostering a culture of empathy, collaboration, and innovation. By prioritizing self-leadership, active listening, teamwork, empowerment, and resilience, caring leaders not only inspire their teams but also drive sustainable growth into future workplaces.

For those in attendance, I look forward to connecting with you and I will be giving everyone an opportunity to download a Caring Leadership toolkit at the end of my keynote. See you there!
