Diolinda (DiDi) Vaz is an experienced Scrum Master, Agile Coach, and Nerd of all things Work Culture. She oversees team effectiveness and employee engagement in the Data Sciences Platform at Broad Institute, a disease research organization. She mentors a team of Scrum Masters and co-founded "Agile Academia," an affinity group to share agile development principles and practices with non-software teams at Broad. "DiDi" is a speaker and attendee of Agile-related meet-ups and conferences when her toddler lets her out of the house. Before joining Broad Institute, DiDi was a Scrum Master and Agile Community leader at Kronos, Inc. She was introduced to Scrum more than ten years ago, shortly after starting a career in software development as a product consultant and tester at Avid Technology. She shifted into a supervisory role before becoming a full-time Scrum Master. As a professional facilitator, DiDi has relied heavily on communication skills acquired from her first career as a television reporter. She's a graduate of American University's School of Communication in Washington, D.C.
