John Eisenschmidt

For 20 years, John has coached individuals and teams towards greater agility within corporations, nonprofits, higher education, and the federal government. As an Agile Coach and Program Manager, John has led numerous large and multi-year initiatives with co-located and federated teams. He is a PMI-certified Project Management Professional (PMP)®, a ScrumAlliance Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM) and Certified Scrum Professional® (CSP-SM), an ICAgile Certified Professional Agile Coaching (ICP-ACC), and a Scaled Agile Program Consultant (SPC4). John is the co-organizer of the Agile Coaching Exchange in Southern California and Online, and facilitates the ACE Leadership Circle in North America. As a professional coach, John believes that leadership is more than just a designation, and that leaders take responsibility for their own development. He works with individuals and teams to cultivate their authenticity, dignity, presence, and resilience, primarily using somatics (working through the body). He is a graduate of the CCL’s Leadership Development Program, a Strozzi Institute certified Somatic Coach (SISC), an ICF Associate Certified Coach (ACC) and ICF Mentor Coach, a certified LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Facilitator (LSP), and a certified Training From the Back of the Room (TBR) practitioner. John is a co-organizer of DC Somatics, a learning community of practice, committed to tapping the wisdom of the body to foster personal and professional growth and well-being. John holds a B.S. in Decision Sciences and Management Information Systems from the George Mason University School of Business.
