Tamsen Mitchell

Accomplished Agile Coach, Technical Project and Program Manager with over 15 years experience in the software industry. Launched and facilitated Agile transformation in 3 companies and coached multiple teams on Agile software development. I am passionate about continuous improvement, and how to facilitate that curiosity in others. I specialize in crafting learning and development programs that maximize retention and engagement in the participants. TRAILBLAZING: Broad expertise in 2nd generation agile methodologies with a passion for cutting edge continuous improvement. POISED: Articulate, thorough, and confident under pressure across a wide spectrum of audiences. QUICK THINKING: Creative, nimble, and able to rapidly analyze and resolve issues. PERCEPTIVE: Streamlined, strengthened, and sustained organizational operations. I have a range of both methodology and agility based certifications and strive to broaden my knowledge of both being agile, and different processes and frameworks that can be tailored. I started with early training under Mike Cohn and continued with Jeff Sutherland (2007), one of the fathers of Scrum methodology. I was one of the first 1,000 people worldwide certified on the practical applications of Agile in software development (PMI-ACP and Scrum Alliance CSP qualifications in 2012). I haven't just sat through a CSM course for 2 days, I have certification in advanced practical application in a range of agile lean methodologies. I am also a certified PMP, and I strongly believe that this breadth of experience gives me more tricks up my sleeves to appropriately tailor team management styles. If you believe in such things: I am INTJ; C on the DIsC model; I can identify all of the 6 thinking hats; 1 Learner, 2 Intellection, 3 Input, 4 Activator, 5 Connectedness. And now, for the alphabet soup:- CSP, ICA ACC, ICA ATF, ICA ICP, SCPM, PMI-ACP, CSM, SPC, TBR - CT (Certified Trainer "Training from the BACK of the Room!" by Sharon Bowman), and lastly a PMP B.Arch
