What is Agile2021?

Agile2021 is the largest annual global gathering of Agile practitioners.

In its 20th year, the conference is the premier international event for the advancement of Agile software development and is dedicated to furthering Agile principles and practices while providing a venue for people and ideas to flourish.

Where will Agile2021 take place?

Agile2021 will be a fully virtual global event in the following time brackets:

  • The Americas – CDT Time zone
  • EMEA – Europe, Middle East, Africa – WEST Time zone
  • APAC – Asia Pacific – HKT Time zone

When will the Agile2021 call for submissions open?

We will be building the program in three iterations. The system will open for submissions February 4th and the last day to submit will be April 30th, 2021. More details on the submission process can be found here, details on what’s new for 2021 can be found here. 

My session was accepted for Agile2020, which was cancelled. Will I automatically part of the 2021 program this year?

We appreciate all the work that goes into submitting for the conference. However, you will be required to submit again to be considered for the Agile2021 program. You are welcome to submit a similar session as long as it fits within the new tracks and requirements. More information on the submission process can be found here. 

What is the cost of attending Agile2021?

Registration will be opening shortly and tickets will start at $299 USD for  Agile Alliance members. Check back for more details soon.

What are the differences between the registration types?

There are two registrations types: All Access & Limited Access.

Access refers to how long you have to view the sessions on the virtual platforms.

The main difference is the length of time all ON DEMAND content is available after the conference has ended. Price points are further defined by membership status and time of purchase. For pricing please refer to our registration page.

  • All Access [Member and Non-Member] includes:
    • Access to all Live ONLY content
    • Replay content from all (3) time zones* July 19 – 23, 2021
    • Access to On Demand sessions from all 3 time zones for (60) days
  • Limited Access Includes:
    • Access to all Live ONLY content
    • Replay content from all (3) time zones July 19 – 23, 2021

What is the difference between LIVE, Replay and On-Demand content?

Both All Access and Limited Access receive all three content types during the access timeframe associated with their registration type.

  • LIVE – Content will only be available to view during the session time block. The session can not be viewed at any other time frame
  • Replay – Content not including Live ONLY will be available on the Conference Platform DURING the Agile2021.
  • On-Demand – Content will be available on the platform for (60) days

How will I know what sessions are Live, Replay or On-Demand?

Each session will have content type marked in the session description of the Agenda.

   

Will I be able to purchase one conference pass and watch sessions with my colleagues?

The conference is geared towards individual participation and interaction. For the best experience, we ask that each person purchase their own registration so they can fully engage in talks, workshops, networking opportunities, 1:1 meetings, and so much more!

What do I get with my registration?

Access to content after Agile2021 is determined by your registration type. During the conference (July 19-23, 2021) both registration types will receive:

  • Access to all LIVE only content
  • Replay content from all (3) time brackets
  • 1:1 meetings with sponsors and other attendees
  • Access to main stage content
  • Networking
  • & so much more!

Can I transfer my registration to someone else?

Substitutions are welcome up until July 16th, 2021. Must qualify for the same registration type and access level (Member/Non-Member, Limited Access/All Access). Please contact us for more information.

What is your cancellation policy?

All cancellations must be received in writing by email no later than June 19, 2021. A $50 processing fee will be incurred. Cancellations made after deadline of June 19, 2021 as well as “no-shows” are liable for the full registration fee.

Agile Alliance reserves the right to cancel the event or substitute speakers. In the unlikely event that Agile Alliance should have to cancel the Agile2021 conference, attendees will be refunded for the amount paid for the conference.

Registration fees are charged based on the Agile Alliance Account status at the time of purchase. No refunds will be given should the status of account change after purchase.

I need an invoice or receipt for my registration. How do I obtain one?

A copy of you invoice will be included in on the confirmation page and your confirmation email. A link to download an official invoice will be available in your confirmation email.

What time zone will sessions take place in?

The Agile2021 schedule will be designed in a follow-the-sun format. We will have sessions taking place within business hours in each time zone around the world. We will be setting up sessions in the following time brackets:

 

• The Americas – CDT Time zone
• EMEA – Europe, Middle East, Africa – WEST Time zone
• APAC – Asia Pacific – HKT Time zone

   

What materials will I need to take part?

Ideally, reliable Internet connection, a webcam if you wish to have face – to – face interactions with participants, and a headset with microphone.

   

What platforms will you be using?

Agile2021 will use Swoogo as the virtual environment. Talks will be streamed through Vimeo and workshops will take place in Zoom.   

Are there browser requirements for attending the conference?

Swoogo’s preferred browser is Chrome or Firefox and can also be successfully used on Safari, Brave, or Microsoft Edge. We do not recommend using Internet Explorer because that browser isn’t actively updated anymore and therefore compatibility isn’t optimal with Swoogo.

For best experience we recommend the following:

  • Confirm you have a reliable internet connection. At least 20 Mbps  is ideal for download. This can easily be determined by a quick speed test via google.
  • Ensure you have the most updated version of your browser and test your sound/microphone quality ahead of time.

Is an Agile Alliance membership included in my registration?

No, unlike prior years you will not get a complementary membership.  We do encourage you to signup for membership prior to registration so you can save a minimum of $150 when you use the membership rate. For more information on membership click here.
