Agile Works!

The 2007 Agile Business Conference, taking place at the Queen Elizabeth Conference Centre, London, UK on 2nd and 3rd October 2007, is set to be fully subscribed with subscriptions already exceeding expectations. The event has an intensive schedule, brimming with case studies, ideas, useful information and workshops to ensure that every delegate gets plenty from attending the conference.

A close collaboration with the Agile Alliance has been announced for the event. The Alliance will coordinate specific streams focusing on Agile Customer Perspectives and Agile Business Flow & Lean Thinking. Including case studies from Allied Irish Bank, the BBC, Lloyds TSB and British Telecom, passing on the experience of others is a major factor in this year’s event. There are presentations from leading thinkers in the Agile field (including Ken Schwaber, Mary Poppendieck and Chris Avery) and skills-honing workshops. The event also represents an excellent opportunity for delegates to network and speak with others to share experience and solve problems.

Europe’s premier event for Agile minded organisations is now in its 4th year and is firmly established as the place to explore the full range of Agile approaches in one hit. This is an exciting time for the Agile community with a rapid acceleration in the uptake of Agile methods to an ever widening audience, both within and outside of the IT community. This year’s programme reflects the recognition of Agile’s take-up and acceptance by giving greater voice to end-user experiences – in particular from business in all its forms.

This event is organised by the DSDM Consortium who were the originators of the very first agile framework. The organisation runs the Agile Business Conference to provide a forum for both the existing Agile community and newcomers wishing to learn about the benefits of Agile practice. There will be extensive representation of Agile Methodologies (XP, Scrum, Lean Software Development, DSDM Atern), Project Management Frameworks (PRINCE2,) and Project Management Consultancy and Training. The full conference program is available at www.agileconference.org
